ANTICRACY VS AWAX SPLIT EP COLLECTION COMING SOON

Firstly a warm hello to all good friends,allies of URBCOM out there.Its been a few months now since our last official digital-only limited-edition release " Hi-Techwars v2" which we hope you enjoyed.We here @URBCOM HQ are now planning A couple of other new releases due to be released later this year to keep the URBCOM fires burning. The first of these will include the forthcoming digital EP by URBCOM long-standing artists and music contributors ANTICRACY ( ROME ) and AWAX ( London ) Two exceptional electonic artists who've been on the IDM,breakcore scene for years now and best known to fans for their outstanding drum & noise and cinimatic-ambient-splatter-beats. This new legal-free limited edition download EP will instigate a new a series of split-artist EPs to be compiled by the URBCOM label team and will feature both brand new material and past classic deleted tracks and is scehduled to be released sometime in late October. NEWS URPDATE

J.HOOKENS WITH TERMINAL BRAIN TUMOUR

J.HOOKENS URBCOM CO-FOUNDER AND ARTIST

After a brain -operation on the 9th of July we have good news and bad news. The good news is after 5 weeks J.HOOKENS is now out of hospital and with close family / friends looking after him here in the UK. But the bad news is on Tuesday the 20th of July the results of the operation where given to J who was sadly informed by doctors with the worst news possible that he has a terminal 4 cancerius tumour named " Glioblastoma multiforme" (GBM) the most aggressive type of primary brain tumor in humans, the other bad news is Glioblastoma has a very poor prognosis, despite multimodality treatment consisting of open craniotomy with surgical resection. and Doctoctors have advised j to be prepared for the worst which means 6 to 9 months to live .So Yes this is very shocking news for J and for everyone who knows him we still ca,nt even take it in right now ourselves but we also feel the need to convey this urgent news asap and we hope J will somehow make it through with the best treatment available in the form of radiotheraphy and chemotherapy due to start in the next which will be on-going for the next 6-months at this stage. The treament is aimed at trying to shrink the brain tumour to control the disease and to relive symptoms like bad headaches and other personality disorders, and memeory loss and to stop the tumour growing in his brain before it kills him .more updates to be announced soon.in the meantime we here at URBCOM on behalf J.HOOKENs thank everyone one for the emails and support.( NEWS UPDATE ) we have just posted this first email[ message from via j.hookens ] sent 29-07-2020 ( via j.hookens@urbcom.net )

hello to all friends,artists who either know me personally or through my music projects.................I'll cut to the quick .if you don,nt mind....as this is the first time i've been on-line for 5 weeks since coming out of hospital.......but iam not gonna be on line much at all to be honest in the coming months ............but if have anything that i feel the need that i feel is of intrest 1'll be sure to share it with you when i have the time..........in the meanwhile real-life and friends and people are more important to me now than ever ...........yes............even more than music or art now.! .........which means i have ceased all my music projects including my current experimental group THEDIELECTRIC until further notice i will also not be doing anything at URBCOM or any future music collaboartions ......why?...........beacuse iam now looking to take things easy....and take away any additional or external pressure of my mind...........also i realise now i have nothing proove to anyone right now but myself and the people i love ............and the need to experience life and people............also iam looking to do somthing diffeerent iand getaway from music for awhile just to ty somthing new..after devoting the last 25 years to my music and art ...................i now do not feel the need to continue on this road any further..but sayin that iam very proud of what i have done with URBCOM and my other music projects like JERICO ONE> / THE DIELECTRIC etc.....and thats enough for me now...........................but i now feel the need to try other creative things i hav,nt done before...but then again if get a burst of music inspiration i'll be sure to try and capture the moment for you all to listen too if i can?.................................so its gonna be up and down for sure but its all happened so damned fast .....i feel like i've been in the twlight-zone for the last month or so.....and as most of you can imagin......iam in pritty f**king heavy place in my life right now....how ever you wanna look at it ....but iam not looking to feel sorry for myself or bring anyone down......as i have no time for that shit!....but i also have to face up to the fact my life as i knew it will never be the same again so iam doin my best to get to grips with that ( which is easier said than done but on the whole iam holding shit down pritty well and trying keep my mind on things that feel good and fun and not let this thing get the better of me !...so most of my time will be spent on having my treaments.........relaxing and enjoying the company of my good close friends..........................btw thanks to everyone for sayin hello and for ya good wishes! til we next speak again...............best regards to you all .........J

J.HOOKENS - SHOCK HOSPITAL ADMITTANCE

For those of you who know / have worked or collaborated with J or are just fans of THE DIELECTRIC / JERICO ONE> / URBCOM As a long time friend, collaborator, co-director of URBCOM and college it's with great sadness that I have to convey the shock news that J.Hookens has undergone an emergency admittance at The Royal Salford Hospital in Manchester with a Brain Tumor. J was complaining of pressure on the back of his head and after a visit to the doctors was immediately referred to hospital for tests. After six doctors were baffled by his condition he underwent a brain scan on Fri 2nd July where he was then immediately transfered to the B7 high risk ward at the Royal Salford Hospital in Manchester where he remains indefinitely. It is the top specialist hospital in the north west of England for the brain and nervous system, so he is in the best hands possible and they are doing everything they can for him. At this point in time J remains in a critical but stable condition as the experts are gathering all the information possible for a full diagnosis before operating.As I'm am sure you are aware this is a very emotional and difficult time for J his family and his friends.I would personally like to send my very best wishes and thoughts to J and show all the support I can for him at this time. This has happened so suddenly and taken J and everybody that knows him by complete shock and surprise. We have been through a lot together over the last 17 years and we are like brothers. His spirits are up though and he is looking to the future with a positive attitude ! I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who continues to inspire those around him with his energy, focus and drive in all things but especially for his music projects. And its these natural qualities that he'll be able to draw on to speed through his recovery process and back to full health. I am sure for those of you that have worked / collaborated with or know J you pass on the best of wishes to J and his family and hope, like me, for that full and speedy complete recovery.Any messages of support can be sent via myspace mail and passed onto J and his family. Born out of the ashes of one of the most significant bands on the Hungarian industrial scene VACUUM in 1992.
